Autumn Spelling Shed Assignments:

4/9/23 - 7/9/23 There will be quizes set which encompass all the year 5/6 statutory words. These are referred to as 'Challenge Words'. You may have time to explore these prior to the first full assignment which begins on Thursday.

Thursday is the day that your assignments begin and end. Please try to visit Spelling Shed 3 times a week.

There will be 3 dedicated lessons to these spellings in class each week.

Alongside these there will be a continual revisit of phonemes, 'Have a go' sheets, sound button practise, dictionaries and iPad spelling software.

Year 5 and 6 will be working on the same spellings.

'Tests' are proven to be ineffectual, however, regular informal check-ups make a difference.
