At Bishop Monkton C of E Nursery school we strive to maintain the highest standards of parent partnership working!
We start the process from our first meeting with parents/carers. We ask that an ‘All About Me’ is completed before your child begins their nursery life. This will enable us to understand their likes/dislikes and preferences from a home perspective.
We will then offer transition visits to support your child, meet the staff and other children, and see the nursery environment.
Once your child has started their nursery life they will be assigned a key person who will help to settle them into nursery and is a safe person to go to, should they need it, making sure that all your child’s individual needs are met (this person may change if your child forms a bond with another practitioner) .
We all work as a fluid team in Wrens, and build sound relationships with all of the children and parents/carers.
We take observations of the children via an online system called Seesaw.
You are able to access your child’s online learning journey, where you will see any observations that have been taken, you are able to comment on them and add your own from home. It is important that we build an all-round picture of your child.
We also have a Facebook page and a private parent group where information is shared.
Outside the nursery there is a parents' board where information is displayed.
We offer an ‘open door’ system in nursery; parents are welcome to discuss anything they feel they need to
with us…...........we are always there!
