Our uniform ensures that children are smartly dressed while at school and they are identified as a member of Bishop Monkton School.
Pupils are actively encouraged to wear school uniform and to take a pride in belonging to school.
The uniform consists of:
Navy blue sweatshirt with the school logo printed on
Gold/Navy polo shirt with the school logo printed on
Grey trousers/ Grey shorts
Grey skirt/pinafore dress
Grey or navy tights / white socks
Blue check summer dress
Black school shoes
Polo shirts and sweatshirts can be purchased from The Uniform Shop in Ripon or directly from our supplier APC Clothing. Orders can be made either online or post and carries a small charge of £3.95 for delivery which takes about 3 weeks. Please visit www.apc-clothing.co.uk .
For P.E, blue or black shorts, house-coloured plain t-shirt in your child's house colour and trainers should be worn.
Houses are:-
A blue or black tracksuit/ joggers may be worn in winter. A P.E. bag should be provided in which to keep the kit.
All uniform needs to be named.
For safety reasons, jewellery should not be worn in school.
The only jewellery permitted is a watch (removed for P.E.) and if your child’s ears are pierced, only ONE pair of small gold/silver studs may be worn (removed for P.E.)
Make up and nail varnish is not permitted to be worn except on non uniform days as part of dressing up.
The school carries a supply of good-quality second-hand uniform should you wish to consider this.
