We provide childcare, fun and games for pupils at Bishop Monkton School.

We operate a breakfast club from 7.45 am where the children can eat a healthy breakfast whilst in a fun, friendly atmosphere.

We also operate an after school club until 5.45pm. During this time children will be offered a healthy snack, structured activities, chill out time and free play all in a safe fun and friendly setting.

At parents’ request children can do their homework or younger children can buddy up with older children to do their school reading.

All staff are trained and have received enhanced DBS clearance.  All relief staff are also DBS checked and cover in case of illness.

The sessions will be held in the School Hall, Owls Class and outside play areas when appropriate.

Further details

We aim to provide high quality before and after school care scheme.

The pupils will have the opportunity to socialise, develop social skills, learn about healthy eating, play physical games and participate in decision making.

The children’s safety is paramount: All Robins pupils will be delivered to their classroom in the morning and collected from their classroom after school. The older pupils will be expected to go to and from their classrooms by themselves but will be closely monitored by members of staff and an attendance list will always be present in classrooms.

We are always looking for parents / volunteers to come and join us.  If you have a particular skill /interest which would appeal to the children we would love you to share it with them.

What will we do?

Our out of school care scheme enhances the school and children’s learning.  Most importantly we want children to be able to relax and enjoy the activities on offer to them.  We aim for it to be a place children want to enjoy coming to.

The children who access the scheme will be involved in choosing and planning the activities we do. However, if they run out of ideas we will be there to help them think up more fun activities to stimulate them.
