Bishop Monkton CE Primary School is a warm and welcoming Church of England school, located in a picturesque village just south of Ripon. The school was judged to be Good overall in a 2023 Ofsted inspection and Good in 2019 SIAMS inspection. The children, staff and Governors are looking for a HLTA to join our hardworking and successful team commencing September 2024.  You will be working alongside class teachers offering support to children in Years 4-6. This maybe individually, in small groups or teaching a cohort. The role will also involve other classes on an ad hoc basis when necessary.

Our successful applicant will:

• Have experience working with a range of children in KS2 including those with SEND
• Have shared responsibility for the learning and achievement of all pupils in the class ensuring equality of opportunity for all and encouraging children to love learning and achieve their full potential
• Be a team player, able to work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with teachers, learners, parents/carers, governors and other staff in the best interests of pupils
• Treat pupils with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing
  proper boundaries.
• Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school
