Main Scale Teacher

Upper Keystage 2 - Job-Share 0.49 FTE

Wednesday PM, Thursday and Friday

Bishop Monkton CE Primary School is a warm and welcoming Church of England school, located in a picturesque village just south of Ripon. The school was judged to be Good overall in a 2023 Ofsted inspection and Good in 2019 SIAMS inspection. Leaders promote a culture in which both children and staff want to work together to be their best. Our children are happy, confident and eager to learn.  Our excellent staff team are committed to achieving high standards and are able to do this with the support of enthusiastic governors and parents.


The children, staff and Governors are looking for an outstanding and enthusiastic teacher to join our hardworking and successful team.  The post is for a job share class teacher with an upper keystage 2 class, commencing September 2024.


Our successful applicant will:

  • Be experienced at working with a range of children in KS2 including those with SEND
  • Have shared responsibility for the learning and achievement of all pupils in the class ensuring equality of opportunity for all and encouraging children to love learning and achieve their full potential
  • Be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct
  • Be a team player, able to work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with job share teacher, learners, parents/carers, governors and other staff in the best interests of pupils
  • Be responsible for leading a subject area across the school
  • Treat pupils with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing
    proper boundaries appropriate to a teacher’s professional position
  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school

 

This role could be combined with an additional vacancy for a main scale teacher for 1 day per week in an upper keystage 2 class.
