Spellings
Owls will be given new spellings every Friday, with a spell check-up the following Friday. They will practice their spellings every day in School.
Owls Spelling Groups
Arctic Spellers and North Sea Spellers will have 5 spellings each week based on their phonic work with Little Wandle. The tricky words and sounds will be taught during the week and then they will have the spellings to practice on the Friday.
Southern Ocean Spellers will have 10 spellings (5 and then a further 5 to challenge). These will be a range of common exception words from years 2, 3 and 4, and words with spelling patterns that we will explore in class.
