At Bishop Monkton CE Primary, we provide a welcoming, caring family environment in which all children can flourish. We achieve this by creating a nurturing and inclusive setting where core values are fundamental. We support our children to be healthy, happy and vibrant individuals and now need YOU to be part of this transformation.

We are looking for a positive, flexible, and hardworking individual to join our successful school team. This is a varied role that involves working in a Year 2/3 class to support a child with SEND. Although you will be working alongside the class teacher, using your own initiative and responding to the needs of the child, will be key to enabling this child to achieve their potential. The role also extends to supporting children more widely in the class and over the lunchtime period as a lunchtime supervisor.

The successful applicant will have high expectations of all children and the passion to get the very best from each individual. You will be working alongside a dedicated team of supportive teachers and other teaching assistants. Experience of SEND or working 1:1 would be an advantage, but most importantly you will be adaptable and have the right attitude towards the children you work with.

Bishop Monkton CE Primary School is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. As part of our recruitment process, an online search may be conducted for shortlisted candidates to review publicly available information. Candidates should disclose anything that may be relevant in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.

Please look at our website to find out more about our school.

Visits to the school are welcomed. Any questions please do get in touch.

GTA post is paid at Salary Grade C/D, SCP 3-6
