Autumn Term 1 Topic project due Wednesday 21st October 2026.

Option 1

Create a fact file about the Ancient Maya. You could choose one area to look at in detail should as chocolate making or a general information sheet with lots of interesting did you know facts? Think carefully about your audience and choose an interesting way to present your ideas (power points, colourful fact-file).

Option 2 

Design and make a Maya temple. Harness your creative side and get junk modelling or creating out of Lego. Don't forget your design and include your important details like, who your temple is dedicated to, which events are celebrated there, and what rituals are carried out there? A photo will be fine if your creation is too big to carry to school.

Option 3

Hot chocolate making. The Maya added some pretty strange things to their chocolate drink - chilli pepper anyone? Can you create a set of instructions to make the most delicious hot chocolate or chocolate treat? Test your instructions first at home before trying them on me! A photo of you enjoying your chocolate treat would be welcomed.
