Hello Owls and welcome to week 13 of your home learning.
Thank you so much to those of you who shared your adverts and musical performances last week. This week the theme is Space! This is a super theme with lots of great learning opportunities so I hope you enjoy it.
For your writing task this week, you have a short Disney video to watch called 'La Luna' and then you are going to be writing a diary entry from the point of view of the child in the story. Try to really imagine the story from the child's point of view: what might you (as the child) be thinking and feeling; what are you doing; what can you see and hear? There are some pictures from the story at the bottom of the home learning sheet. If you'd like to you could print these off, cut them out and then order them to help you act out or verbally retell the story before you write. Doing this will help you think about what you are going to write in your diary entry and help you to retell and structure the story from the child's point of view.
Your Maths this week is on BBC Bitesize again. Year 2 your Maths is all to do with money and year 3 yours is addition and subtraction. There are also some links to Maths games related to your learning this week.
Year 2s have a DT project on their home learning sheet of designing and making a rocket. Year 3s have a DT project of designing and making a spacesuit.
We hope you have a lovely week and that you enjoy finding out about space,
